BlueKit teams up to provide lifesaving Bleed Control Kits & Training

We're proud to be working with SALVAS, provider of a workplace violence reduction and safety training, to deliver the Bleed Control Kit & #ZeroResponder Bleed Control Workshop.

Together we're on a mission to equip us all to #savelives!

We have worked with some of the best heads in the game to develop a comprehensive Bleed Control Kit containing essential equipment needed to stop life-threatening bleeding.

Bleed Control Kit - Open Box

This has been designed with the #ZeroResponder in mind.  Who is the #ZeroResponder? I hear you ask.  The #ZeroResponder is a member of the public at the scene of an emergency before the medical professionals, who we know as First Responders, arrive to provide emergency assistance.

In critical incidents such as those resulting from criminal or terrorist activity, First Responders are held back from the scene until it is deemed safe by Police; this is when the role of the #ZeroResponder becomes especially vital, able to provide lifesaving assistance in the critical minutes after injury.

In addition to containing the right elements, we wanted to consider the practicality of this product and how it would be best placed for members of the public, (our #ZeroResponders), to access.  This is why our Bleed Control Kit has been designed to be highly visible with a wall bracket to affix to a wall, beside which we provide a large instruction poster to sit alongside.  We also make available recognisable window stickers identifying that there is an emergency bleed control kit on location.

We know that the success of these public accessible kits can be greatly enhanced by teaching members of the public how to use bleed control equipment and how to stem a catastrophic bleed when no equipment is available.  That's why we teamed up with Michael Greville, Director of SALVAS, to develop a comprehensive #ZeroResponder Bleed Control Workshop to complement the kit.

Our #ZeroResponder Bleed Control Workshop is meant to instil members of the public with the confidence and skills they need to provide lifesaving help when faced with catastrophic bleeding in an emergency.  You will learn how to identify life-threatening bleeding and use the contents of a bleed control kit or even everyday articles to stop and control massive blood loss whilst waiting for the ambulance to arrive on scene.

This lifesaving training is ideal for people working in public accessible locations, such as hotels, restaurants, clubs, shopping centres, places of education and worship.  The training is also recommended for those working in high risk jobs such as security and facilities management, construction and road maintenance.

With new standards expecting organisations to do more to protect people in public spaces, we can assist you with a level of preparedness fit for purpose.
